Holmes County Busted Mugshots is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody, arrange a release, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Please direct each question to the responsible public office or official locator below.
Official Holmes County Record Routes
The Holmes County Sheriff’s Jail & Corrections page is the official starting point for county custody questions. No public online roster or booking-photo feed was verified on that page, so a current-custody question should be directed to the jail or sheriff rather than inferred from an unofficial result.

For a retained booking record or releasable photograph, use the sheriff’s Public Information Request process. The sheriff accepts verbal or written requests and does not require identification or a reason. Its posted counter hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., excluding legal holidays. An older subsection on the same page states 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., so call before visiting to confirm the current counter hours.
The request page says immediately available records are provided immediately. Older or larger requests usually take about three business days, with notice if more time is needed. Email delivery is free, while reproduction and delivery are charged at actual cost. A written denial should state the legal reason. Describe the person by full name and approximate booking date, and ask for existing releasable records rather than a newly created report.
Use the route that matches the record and custody state:
- County custody or a Holmes booking record: contact Jail & Corrections or submit the sheriff’s public-information request.
- Court case activity or disposition: search the Holmes County court docket. A docket can show later case events but is not a live jail roster.
- Ohio prison custody or supervision: use the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction Offender Search, which is separate from Holmes County Jail custody.
- Custody-status changes or case notifications: enroll through VINELink. It is a notification service, not a booking-photo source.
- Federal custody: consult the BOP Inmate Locator. For qualifying immigration detention, use the ICE Online Detainee Locator.
